Summer Search Philly
Summer Search offers students transformative, once-in-a-lifetime summer experiences after their sophomore and junior years. These are opportunities for personal growth, exploration, self-discovery, and connection.
Sophomores typically attend a wilderness, service learning, or academic enrichment program that allows them to challenge themselves, emerge with newfound confidence and leadership skills, and build strong bonds with their peers.
Juniors are offered a variety of experiences, including international service-learning, academic and arts programs on college campuses, and career exposure opportunities. These experiences allow students to explore potential career paths, get a glimpse into higher education opportunities, and gain a greater sense of purpose.
Students partner with their mentor to decide which opportunities best fit their needs, interests, and goals.
Summer Search grants full-tuition scholarships to every student attending a summer experience.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
Once students are accepted on their Summer Experience, they are expected to commit to participating in their program, attend all pre-program orientations and workshops, and plan their summer around this
once-in-a-lifetime experience.
