LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
Drexel University’s Public Health Summer Leadership Institute is a one-week academic program designed for high school students who are seeking experiences that will help prepare them for college life. During this program, students will engage in hands-on learning experiences, where they will develop real-world solutions to public health challenges and gain insights into the roles of local health departments.

Location: Drexel University and various sites across Philadelphia

Dates: Monday, July 22 – Friday, July 26, 2024, 9:00 – 4:30 pm

Participant Mix: Mix of students from all over Philadelphia. There will be other Summer Searchers with you.
PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

Attend daily lectures on various public health topics from guest speakers in the field. The theme of this year’s workshop is housing.

Embark on educational field trips within Philadelphia

Participate in group discussions and hands-on workshops

Collaborate with peers on a case study and build confidence in public speaking and delivering presentations

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS TO KEEP IN MIND

Transportation: Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from Drexel every day for one week
